Mince pie charts

Mince Pie
Throughout December we have been undertaking a very serious investigation. It’s taken a lot of effort but we feel it was necessary to look into the current state of mince pies in the UK at the end of the first decade of the 21st century. Read the rest of this entry »

Kris Buckles up for launch

Kris Buckle’s shiny new websiteAll our hard work has pretty much come to a head on the various projects (album artwork and posters) for musician Kris Buckle and it culminated at the end of last week with the launch of his new website. The Future’s BrightON – dConstruct 2009

dconstruct 2009
It was the eclectic range of speakers and associated subject matters that convinced me to return to Brighton having attended dConstruct in 2007. If you didn’t know dConstruct was a conference aimed at web designers and developers you certainly wouldn’t have gleamed that from looking at this year’s schedule. Read the rest of this entry »

Ye Olde Tower Bridge Road

Tower Bridge Road, 1931
The British Film Institute (BFI) have a fascinating collection of footage from bygone days that I always enjoy watching. It’s rare that you find a film from the past that was recorded pretty much on your doorstep though. If you’re familiar with the Dusted offices you should take look at this clip and get a glimpse of Tower Bridge Road and it’s inhabitants as they were in 1931. Read the rest of this entry »

Internet Expire 6.0

Internet Expire 6

Lately there have been a few high-profile web sites (notably YouTube and Facebook) publicly announcing there intention to cease support for Microsoft’s stalwart web browser Internet Explorer 6. Many a web designer/developer will have whooped with joy when these news stories broke. Does this finally mean we can stop worrying about this troublesome piece of software? Google street view comes to Dusted

Screen grab of Google street view at 151 Tower Bridge Road
With the recent introduction of street view to Google Maps UK you can now virtually visit the Dusted office (as well as most of the rest of London and 24 other cities). Shame you can’t actually look inside the office. Then again, maybe that wouldn’t be such a good idea.

On Twitter, everyone can hear your scream

Pigeons lined up on a power line

Ever since Stephen Fry and Jonathan Ross, amongst other high-profile celebrities started openly twittering, it’s all of a sudden the in-thing to be doing. However, with this increase in activity comes an exciting and also worrying by-product. Read the rest of this entry »
