Climbing Kilimanjaro
Myself and three other lovely ladies are taking part in an once-in-a-lifetime experience to climb Kilimanjaro, whilst raising vital funds for SPARKS – a charity that funds pioneering medical research. Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest mountain and the highest ‘free standing’ mountain in the world. In a trek that will push our team to the limit, we will be following the much less-trodden Lemosho Route and over the coming week, I’ll be texting the office with my progress, telegram style. Here’s my first report upon arrival in Nairobi…Nairobi to Arusha: Got here safely! Very little sleep on plane. Long bus ride but lovely hotel. Sunny. Early start tomorrow. May not be signal for a couple of days. S.
