Gaucho nominated for Webby Award
The Webby Awards, the leading international honour for the Web, today nominated Gaucho for the Best Restaurant web site of 2007. Dusted designed and developed the current site as part of a major re-branding and positioning exercise last year.
Winners will be announced on May 1, 2007 and honoured at The 11th Annual Webby Awards Gala in New York City on June 5th. Comedian and actor Rob Corddry, star of Fox’s new sitcom “The Winner” and a former correspondent for “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” will host the ceremony.
Hailed as the “Oscars of the Internet” by the New York Times, The Webby Awards (which this year received a record 8,000 entries from over 60 countries) is the leading international award honouring excellence on the Internet, including Websites, Interactive Advertising, Online Film & Video, and Mobile Websites. The awards are judged by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, a global organization that includes David Bowie, Harvey Weinstein, Arianna Huffington, Matt Groening, Jamie Oliver, Internet inventor Vinton Cerf, and RealNetworks CEO Rob Glaser.
As a nominee for a Webby Award, the Gaucho web site is also eligible to win a People’s Voice Award. Voting is open to the public from April 10th to April 27th – Vote now!
