Well, now that England, Scotland and Wales are all out of Euro 2008 you’d think that next year wasn’t going to be a good year for Great British sport. Well you’d be wrong. We’ve got all of these to look forward to.

European Figure Skating Championship

The UK has earned more than one entry to the 2008 European Championships based on their performance at the previous year’s event.

Ford World Women’s Curling Championship

22.03.08 – 30.03.08
Taking place in British Columbia, Canada

World Men’s Curling Championship

05.04.08 – 13.04.08
All the action is taking place in North Dakota, USA

European Badminton Championships

23.04.08 – 28.04.08
No idea if any UK teams have qualified for this, but how hard can it be?

FIFA Under 20s Women’s World Cup

30.12.08 – 17.01.09
England have qualified for this tournament to be held in Chile.

Of course there’s always the Summer Olympics in Beijing. We’re bound to pick up some medals there.

Nope… that hasn’t cheered me up either. Any other sporting events I may have missed off the list?
