When I first saw the news that Google Maps’ Street View had gone 3D I thought it was an April Fools’ Day gag. But low and behold it’s actually a reality — and a pretty well executed reality at that. House of Cards


Radiohead’s latest video for their single House of Cards is, in true Radiohead fashion, a little bit ground-breaking. The video was recorded without light and without cameras. Instead they employed a couple of scanning technologies that mapped the scenes in 3D. They could then use the raw data to create the video using various rendering options and show the scenes from any angle they desired. Read the rest of this entry »
