Mermaid wins gold!

The Mermaid Centre scooped gold for best web site at the Meetings Industry Marketing Awards (MIMA) last night. Dusted designed and developed the new site last year so it was great to see all our hard work formally recognised amongst a highly competitive sector. The judges praised The Mermaid site for ease of use and strong branding, making it a clear winner against competition from Woods River Cruises and Imago at Loughborough. WHATWG & HTML5

Easier web application development, who doesn’t want that?! The Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group is focusing on the Web Applications 1.0 specification, which is sometimes referred to as “HTML5″ or “XHTML5″. Interesting. I like the idea of helping the developer by providing them with more control and features, I’ll be keeping eye on these chaps!!
