It was the eclectic range of speakers and associated subject matters that convinced me to return to Brighton having attended dConstruct in 2007. Radiohead’s latest video for their single House of Cards is, in true Radiohead fashion, a little bit ground-breaking. The video was recorded without light and without cameras. Instead they employed a couple of scanning technologies that mapped the scenes in 3D. They could then use the raw data to create the video using various rendering options and show the scenes from any angle they desired. Read the rest of this entry »
