The road to convergence

When I first saw this product it looked like something that would be very inviting and playful to use. I couldn’t imagine that this came out of a Microsoft lab but hey, life is full of surprises and Microsoft Surface is one of them. First prototype was based on an IKEA table with a hole cut through it now you don’t have to worry about frustrating mess of cables, drivers and protocols that people must use to link their peripheral devices to their computers.

The question is whether this interactive tool can provide a rich mix of physical and virtual experience? Watch this video as the company’s unofficial Surface showman Jeff Gattis shows off on what this neat piece of interactive tool can do.

Apple bring out the iPhone, MS then bring out Surface, which looks awesome!
It will be interesting to see the cost and what bugs pop-up during testing but MS do look like they have stolen a march on Apple with this one!
