I’m happy to hear that the production of Wattson by DIY Kyoto is now in full swing. If you have not heard or seen this product and call yourself an eco-aware designer you need to get one and plug it in at home in order to measure how much electricity you use daily. My mother always use to tell me that education starts from home and she is definitely right!
With both numbers and colours, Wattson shows you how much electricity your home is using at any given moment. Information from a transmitter attached to your electricity meter or fuse box is beamed directly to your Wattson which then instantly displays your current usage. What a great idea! I hope it will make you think about how much electricity you use daily, so let us join the fight and switch off all stand by switches because every effort counts.
